Meet Your Hosts

The Sip and Saga Society

Karina

My name is Karina and I am the founder of the Sip and Saga Society.  I created this podcast from my desire to share my love of weird history and my passion for talking too much.

I have four dogs, two cats, two spiders, and a fish. My favorite drinks are EXTREMELY watered down lemonade, seltzer water, and a dirty chai.

Stories about women, animals, and oddities are typically what I go for, but I enjoy any good story that makes me remember what humanity is capable of doing. I believe stories are what unite people together and will continue to share those stories as long as I have friends who will listen.

Randi

Hiya Guys! Randi here 🙋🏽‍♀️

Proud oldest daughter/sister, first granddaughter, and Libra, I am a mix of academic research and lived experiences. Curiosity is one of my driving traits and I have seen the power knowledge has in shaping personal ideas and values. Being Mexican and Cherokee, I hope to share perspective, represent my people groups with pride, and get you thinking about all the things you haven't before.

I love long hikes with my dog, snuggling up with my cats, or hanging out with the people that I love most. My newest obsessions are listening to audiobooks on 2x speed (for now! the podcast is growing my skill 🤣) and flexing my creativity with colored pencils and paint.

I am so thrilled to be able to share these hidden histories with my friends and with you! Grab your drink(s) and settle in for a good listen!

Greg

I am a professor in Arkansas who teaches classes on Early America through the Revolution.

I love to geek out about weird history, weird fiction, and music. I also like playing video games with my kids. I think what we read and listen to and enjoy is one of the best ways to get to know a person.

I'm always looking for the next recommendation from somebody and have found really cool artists or writers that way.

Christina

Hi there! ❤️

I’m Christina, a mom of 3, Pisces (yes, I cry a lot 🥹), lover of all things dance, music, and learning. My favorite drinks are Dr. Pepper, and Iced Matcha Lattes. My main role in this podcast is reaction based. Just sitting back, and leaning into what my colleagues bring to the table each time to broaden my knowledge. I believe that knowledge is power and learning is something we can all do no matter the age. The world is ever evolving or going backwards sometimes 😬.

I try to bring my perspective on the certain topics we discuss, but my intrusive thoughts tend to takeover most time 🤭

Sit back, listen in, learn, and have a good sip with us ☕️
